Lengthy tenure isn't usually part of the conversation in tech but we're accustomed to doing things differently at Applied Systems. Lead Insurer Relations Manager Aisling Barr has grown her career with us for over 10 years, and credits the opportunities for growth as a key driver in her journey. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆? I joined as a Support Technician and from there I moved into a more specialised role of support for the insurer customer panel. This gave me the opportunity to grow and move into a role as a Customer Success Manager. When my manager was on maternity leave I was given the opportunity to lead and manage the Customer Success (CS) Team. Over the past year I've managed the CS team in Ireland and serve as part of the Customer Experience Leadership team across Europe. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂? My day varies! There is a lot of engagement with customers, weekly and monthly operations and governance calls, and I also take part in internal meetings about processes and initiatives. If a major incident arises, our team will pivot to all hands on deck until things are resolved. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲? With no work commute I can get into the gym in the morning, which always sets me up for a good day. Applied is very flexible which helps with work-life balance, especially as I have young children.
