Archaeology England, along with our parent company, Archaeology Wales, works across England and Wales offering independent services to businesses, communities and individuals. We have offices in Manchester an Torquay. Finds and environmental processing, the analysis of artefacts, ecofacts, paleoenvironmental samples and human remains, and finds storage all occur in our facility in South Wales. Our archaeologists are experienced and locally based, which helps us to provide services that are both high quality and cost-effective, while our commitment to training and innovation underlines our determination to continually enhance the range and value of the products we offer. We work on projects of all sizes, from national infrastructure schemes and construction projects, to small one-off developments and programmes of community engagement. Our teams are experienced in working as part of joint ventures and we welcome the opportunities presented by working collaboratively with other organisations. Our archaeologists have worked across all parts of England, having successfully undertaken hundreds of desk-based studies, non-intrusive surveys, and fieldwork investigations, ranging in scope from Neolithic settlement sites to modern military installations. Our standards are high, and our advice is always impartial; we are fully independent of local authority control and we have no commercial links to any other company.
