A year ago, we made a decision to play a more active role in the fight against the climate crisis. I'm proud to say that over the last 12 months, Ardeo Search has offset 33 tons of carbon. Not only that, but we've also funded tree planting in high-impact reforestation projects and plastic waste recovery. On a personal level, we prioritise renewable energy wherever we can (given our work, this is a no-brainer) and we generally commute with public transport. We're a proudly carbon-negative business. Being carbon-negative aligns deeply with our mission to build a more sustainable future, and I'm really proud of this small impact we've been able to make. And all of this before we talk about our day job – building great teams that drive the energy transition and the move towards net zero.

We'd like to wish everyone in our network a very happy Year of the Dragon! We hope the New Year brings everyone great success and prosperity. We look forward to another year of growth, collaboration and great connections within this our sector. Happy New Year!

Today we're celebrating the first International Day of Clean Energy. Declared by the UNGA, this is a powerful reminder of the role that clean energy plays – not only in achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement, but also in expanding universal access to energy.
