It's only 1 week until my 50k Ultra Challenge hike around the Chilterns on 28th September!! Starting at 07:00 from Henley Upon Thames, I am hoping to finish within 12 hours, blisters permitting! This year I have chosen to support the animal charity - Blue Cross. As living expenses continue to rise, providing for beloved pets becomes increasingly difficult. This applies to daily meals or unexpected medical costs. Many families, individuals, and seniors rely on the companionship of their furry family members, for some, its the only contact or company that they have and for others its a life line to positive mental health so it is unfair for them to have to give them up due to financial strain. I know what my furry child means to me and the idea of something happening and not be able to care for him fully would break my heart. By supporting Blue Cross, I hope to ensure that pet food banks and veterinary assistance will always be accessible to those in need.
