Ariana Resources plc (AIM:AAU) has released promising drilling results from the Hizarliyayla area of its Salinbas Project, revealing potential mineralisation akin to the nearby (and globally significant) Hod Maden gold and copper deposit. Intercepts included 0.5 meters at 3.96 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 28.65g/t silver from 540.5 meters in drill hole HZR010, and 0.7 meters at 1.16% copper, 0.72% lead, and 29.39g/t silver from 293.3 meters in HZR009. Another notable result is 0.4 meters at 10% zinc, 2.38% lead, and 317.01g/t silver from 662.3 meters. The latest data, combined with geophysical surveys, suggest a structural setting that may indicate proximity to a mineral-rich porphyry system. Ariana is continuing its exploration efforts with an additional 3,000 meters of diamond drilling planned for the Salinbas and Ardala areas. Ariana Resources plc (AIM:AAU) said Pontid, the company that owns the Salinbas project in Turkyie had been merged with the Zenit consortium through an all-share merger. The gold miner previously held a 23.5% interest in both Zenit and Pontid via its 100% %--owned subsidiary, Galata Mineral. All of its projects in Türkiye, specifically Kiziltepe, Tavsan and Salinbas are now held directly through Zenit with Ariana having a 23.5% interest in the enlarged group. Ariana added that gold and silver production from Kiziltepe and Tavsan continues as planned with 8,500 ounces of gold and 66,300 ounces of silver produced to the end of June.  Kerim Sener, Ariana’s managing director, said: "This concludes the process that started in 2021, following the partial divestment in Türkiye to Ozaltin Holding and the restructuring of our interests in Zenit Madencilik with Proccea Construction. Ariana Resources plc (AIM:AAU) said exploration by subsidiary Western Tethyan Resources (WTR) had confirmed a porphyry mineral system at the Hertica project in Kosovo plus a potential new system in another area of the country. At Hertica, almost 1,400m of diamond drilling indicated a new porphyry-style copper-gold-molybdenum alteration system. Meanwhile, at the Cecelia-Popova-Lluzhan licence, WTR found multiple samples with grades of between 12-19 g/t gold and 22- 684g/t silver in the best examples and in indicative of potentially another porphyry style system on its acreage. Ariana added that 2,00m of sampling work is also underway at Slivova, another of its licences in the region, where work recently has been focused on an environmental study (ESG) but a drilling programme is now planned to build on the previous JORC resource estimate.
