FINDING A NICE RYTHYM Building a business is always a challenge, often frustrating but when the dots align it is immensely satisfying. No two businesses are the same and it takes a while to understand the intricoes of the business and the market place it serves. Lighthouse is enjoying strong growth and as always, this stretches the work force. We are fortunate to enjoy an engaged team which works together to deliver excellence on every transaction. We are really finding a rhythm to the business and the impact is demonstrable. Last week: ⚽ We achieved success in all pillars to the business; completions, exchanges, reservations and new client referral introductions 🎿 We have improved our onboarding process significantly resulting in our clients building value and income quicker 🎯 Arranged a first viewing for a new client with a decent size property portfolio already, at a new development. They reserved their first property. As a result of their delight at our offering they have chosen to sell some of their existing properties to buy more through Lighthouse 🏘 Sourced a suite of BTL mortgages to serve overseas clients with no UK footprint, so they can mortgage their purchases 🔁 'A deal breeds a deal' - following an Agent introduction to one of England's most highly thought of teenager footballers, we completed the player's first purchase. The Agent subsequently completed a purchase and has more in the pipeline. The player's Dad is about to complete his first purchase and the Agent's Father and Brother are also well-advanced in making their first investment property acquisitions. 7 sales as a result of delivering excellence on 1 purchase. 🔁 Similarly, a regular wealth manager introducer of ours, referred one of his entrepreneurial clients to Lighthouse. The clients was suitably impressed, to the point whereby he, and the introducing IFA are now making their first purchases through us. 🛌 On the day of rest, Rebecca Doble, Head of Property showed two prospective clients around a newly launched development, both footballers, one from Millwall FC and the other Birmingham City FC. Having previously gone through the onboarding process, both reserved on the day and have a plan and a clear vision as to how their property portfolio will look upon their respective retirements. A DOUBLE CELEBRATION The Lighthouse team let off some steam with a double celebration; a record Quarter 3 and the 30th Birthday of Nawaz Mahmood who works across the property team and operations. The day entailed a team meeting at our Birmingham office, followed by a lovely lunch in Dishoom (what a place!), a competitive race experience at F1® Arcade, won by our cap wearers Ben and Phil, followed by an after-party at The Forest Hotel in Dorridge. LEON EDWARDS - A BLOSSOMING RELATIONSHIP Lighthouse have been working with Leon and his family for months now. Leon has led an incredible and inspiring life. What a day that was. It is always great to spend time with Rio Ferdinand. I am really proud of what we have built at Lighthouse and the momentum we have is absolutely fantastic. Rio's guidance and opinion has been essential to get where we are and will be very influential in helping us achieve our overarching ambitions. EVERY client so far has indicated a desire to acquire further properties and referrals and recommendations are flowing which is testament to the team's willingness to go the extra mile and deliver service excellence. Completion timescales have reduced by over 50% over the last 6 months and this is set to improve as we increase digitisation of the business next year. To have my kids involved in the business is a real pleasure too and seeing them evolve, within a business I love is precious. We are now penetrating the Elite market place and overseas markets which is ahead of the curve, but exciting to manage. The day was finished off with a magically night at Villa Park. WHAT A SPECIAL DAY! Last Wednesday was ground breaking for both Lighthouse and our Founder, Russell Martin. Russell and Rio Ferdinand spent the day strategizing about how Lighthouse can serve our growing client bank even better, and the bespoke requirements of our quickly expanding Elite membership. It is fascinating to observe the different outlooks of our membership which differs greatly based upon age, experience, current levels and aspirations. Having the experience of Rio Ferdinand as counsel over the last 3 years has been invaluable and has ensured we have built out a business which supports members at all stages of their careers. THIS ONE HITS HOME - THE CARL IKEME STORY Carl Ikeme sadly had his career cut short by Leukaemia. Carl was at the peak of his powers; Wolverhampton Wanderers #1, and Nigeria's #1. In 2017, Carl was cruelly struck down with this horrendous illness during the season when Wolves were promoted into the Premier League and Nigeria qualified for the World Cup held in Russia in 2018. Understandably, athletes' feel invincible. Fortunately Carl had been well advised and had put measures in place to protect his family's future.
