We believe that every person matters and it is our aim to ensure that every person who needs hospice care can get it.
About us
Ashgate Hospice is a charity (no. 700636) that provides compassionate, specialist palliative and end of life care, free of charge, to patients with a life-limiting illness and their families across North Derbyshire. For patients with the most complex needs, we have an Inpatient Unit. However, most of our patients are cared for at home by our team of specialist nurses, specialist therapists and healthcare professionals. This enables them to stay where they feel most comfortable for as long as possible. We are not an NHS hospice. Less than 30% of our total income comes from local NHS health budgets. Every £1 donated to Ashgate Hospicecare – whether through participating in an event or donating or buying items in our shops - makes a huge difference. Thank you for your continued support. We wouldn’t be here without it.

As we approach Yom Kippur on 11 October, we want to wish you and those important to you a meaningful and reflective day. Yom Kippur, also known as the Day of Atonement, is the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. It is a time for reflection, prayer, and seeking forgiveness. Many people use this day to think about their actions over the past year and to make amends with others. Pictured: An image of a Torah, shofar and prayer shawl with text which reads ' Wishing a meaningful Yom Kippur to all who observe this holy day.' #YomKippur
