Good to be back in Australia this week, meeting with many of our great clients and our people in Sydney. Earlier this week, I was delighted to visit the new state-of-the-art Sydney office at 39 Martin Place, opening in May 2025. The new premises have been designed with our people, clients, innovation, accessibility and sustainability in mind. Connectivity also forms a key part of our global strategy to create dynamic working environments that promote collaboration, wellbeing and flexibility. I then had the pleasure of catching up with our Sydney team this morning, sharing a progress update of our 2027 strategy. Our Sydney office plays a pivotal role in driving our strategic vision to be a leading law firm known for outpacing change, and supporting clients across our priority industries, which contribute to our presence in Australia and across the globe. Thanks to everyone, including Trent Sebbens and Lea Constantine for the warm welcome and grand tour. I look forward to returning to Sydney with The Board in March. #OutpacingChange

Our CEO Paul Jenkins catches up Winston Weinberg, co-founder and CEO of Harvey, about the inspiration and work behind the innovative Gen AI tool.
I recently caught up with Harvey’s co-founder and CEO, Winston Weinberg in London, who shared the inspiration behind his innovative Gen AI tool and his journey from lawyer to tech entrepreneur. As Winston tells me: "the lawyer of the future is going to be able to do things sooner in their career…and the skills that are going to be very important are judgment... high level strategic thinking and EQ – anything that AI can't do is going to be even more important." Watch our conversation to learn more about why AI’s role in the legal industry – and more broadly – is critical for the future. Since the global rollout of Harvey across Ashurst's 31 offices in June, we’ve seen how it’s making a real difference to the way we work, helping us to provide even more value to our clients. A huge thank you to our Ashurst Advance Digital and Knowledge & Expertise Teams, including Hilary Goodier, Ruth Ward, Chris Boulter, Sarah Chambers, and all those involved in the firm-wide roll-out across our 4000 people – we are the largest law firm user of Harvey, and in record time! And stay tuned at the end for a bonus question from one of our global "super-users" of Harvey, Lucy Southwick. #AI #FutureofLaw #OutpacingChange

We are advising Tritax EuroBox plc on its £557 million takeover by Titanium Ruth Bidco Limited, a newly formed entity owned by one of Brookfield’s private real estate funds. The offer, considering Tritax EuroBox's net debt, implies an enterprise value of approximately £1.1 billion. Tritax EuroBox, a FTSE 250 constituent since 2018, holds a €1.5 billion logistics real estate portfolio across Continental Europe. The takeover is expected to conclude by year-end. Our cross-practice team is being led by Karen Davies and Simon Bullock, and is being advised on by Lynn Dunne and Steven Vaz. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eAq-NDgf
