We have recently published our second SME Climate Hub Report, covering our 2023/24 accounting year. We made the SME Climate Commitment in January 2022, committing to halve our greenhouse gas emissions and reach net-zero emissions before 2030. In making this commitment, we are proud to be recognised by the United Nations Race to Zero campaign, and join governments, businesses, cities, regions, and universities around the world that share the same mission. Our progress is published every year in our annual impact report, but we also report on our progress towards net-zero emissions on the SME Climate Hub. In 2023/24, we have remained ahead of our target of halving our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, currently at a 51% reduction on our 2019/20 base year. However, our Scope 2 figures show an increase in carbon emissions of around 0.1 tonnes for the last year. As we discuss in our recent impact report (link in comments), we have a problem in accurately measuring emissions due it being difficult to separate electricity used by our main home office from use around the rest of the home. We hope that better understanding of this over the coming year through analysing additional data will show that our business emissions are continuing to fall overall. #SMEClimateCommitment #Sustainability

It reads, 'We made the SME Climate Commitment in January 2022, committing to halve our greenhouse gas emissions and reach net zero emissions before 2030.' Below, a green leaf with 'NET ZERO' written on it grows from a small stack of coins, surrounded by icons representing sustainable actions like renewable energy, recycling, reduced emissions, and electric vehicles.

Making digital better for people and planet. Digital accessibility and sustainability at As It Should Be, a certified B Corp™

I look forward to seeing more great work come from this new W3C group, and doing what I can to support it. The Web – and indeed the wider digital space – needs robust sustainability guidelines for us to have a digital world that is fit for all people and for the planet we share. Without this planet, we are nothing. Without all of us, we cannot create a truly sustainable future. #DigitalSustainability #DigitalAccessibility #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs #LeaveNoOneBehind

We’re delighted to share our 2022-2024 impact report with you. The report is the result of our first time analysing the information we’ve gathered and openly publishing what we’ve found. We should actually be publishing our second impact report, but we needed to put some things on hold during 2023 due to family illness and bereavements. We’d love to know what you think. https://lnkd.in/ecR7SdWY Many thanks to William Andrews and Bridget Petty for their great work in pulling together the bulk of this report, and to Dee Radford for supporting our ongoing impact measurement activities. #ImpactReport #Sustainability #BCorp

We’re publishing our 2022-2024 impact report tomorrow! 🎉 Before we do, we’ve been sharing the goals we set for our first two years as a B Corp. Our environmental impact goals have been to: • Give 1% of our revenue to environmental organisations working hard to protect our planet. 💷 • Reduce the company’s carbon footprint and water use, aiming for 5% reduction each year. 👣 • Halve our greenhouse gas emissions and reach net-zero emissions by 2030. 🌍 • Use low-carbon transport for all business travel. 🚆 • Work towards becoming a net positive, regenerative business. 🌱 Climate and nature form a core part of many of our policies, particularly in what we call our positivity policy.
