We're pleased to see the apprentice voice taking centre stage in the FE Week article highlighting crucial insights from those at the heart of the system. Our members were highly enthusiastic to take part. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/e6gdxh5E As we move forward, we must continue to amplify apprentice voices in policy discussions. #ApprenticeVoice #Apprenticeship
📢 Lessons from our apprentices - Grateful to FE Week and Jessica Hill for featuring Association of Apprentices members views on recent apprenticeship reforms, and its in print (if you're at the #ATC2025). https://lnkd.in/eJt59wmc Amongst other things, I'm feeling more reassured that the opinion of those who are impacted most by policy changes and updates to working practices are starting to get heard, although more to do. One of the recommendations made at our workshop yesterday 'Improving Apprentice Outcomes' was to appoint an apprentice or an apprentice voice representative to governance boards to sit alongside those responsible for the employer, quality, compliance voices to get traction on the improvements apprentices say would make a difference. Thank you to Sarah Drew from the The Chartered Institution for Further Education who shared the latest data from our Post-Apprenticeship Recognition Scheme (PARS) from which we can extrapolate insight on what makes a successful apprenticeship, and to Joseph Lennox CHA for giving up his time to speak about his experiences - he absolutely stole the show (as always) and is an amazing apprenticeship ambassador. Looking forward to Day 2, connecting with colleagues from across the sector and hearing from Minister Jacqui Smith later - hoping learner voice makes its way into her address! #apprentices #apprenticevoice

The Chartered Institution for Further Education (CIFE) is privileged to support and celebrate the work of the FE & Skills sector. Every week presents a new opportunity. Last week we held productive discussions with FE leaders and MPs in Westminster about critical issues, barriers and potential solutions for the sector. This week we are looking forward to seeing members and colleagues in Liverpool at the Apprenticeships & Training Conference where we will join our partner the Association of Apprentices (AoA) to share insights from apprentices past and present. Hear from Emily Rock (Austin), Sarah Drew and Joseph Lennox CHA on the findings derived from the AoA Big Apprentice Survey and from PARS, the Post-Apprenticeship Recognition Scheme. On Wednesday we will be in Birmingham with our group of future college leaders for their third seminar day of the 2025 CIFE Technical Leadership Programme, with our wonderful Fellows Lesley Davies CBE, FCFE, Lowell Williams FCFE and supported by more of our brilliant technical experts and contributors. #FE #Skills #Apprenticeships #PARSaward #ATC2025 https://lnkd.in/e-bxpTUE
