Our Director Brian Jones was busy last week chairing the second annual CDO Travel and Hospitality Exchange at Syon Park on behalf of Bloor Research. Data leaders from around the world gathered for a couple of days of plenaries, panel sessions, round tables, and think tanks. Brian's Summary of the event: "There were some extraordinary presentations detailing transformational journeys and huge engagement around a far-reaching range of topics from AI to data ethics. I was particularly struck by the way in which data leaders in these sectors are striving to find the optimal balance around personalisation. They want to ensure that their service propositions are built on a positive relationship with the customer (you and me I guess) whilst not verging into the rather “creepy” area of over-communicating or, worse still, drawing the wrong insights about us from the data at hand." #atlanticcedar #Events #Hospitality #Travel #Data #AI

Our Co-Founder Brian Jones is an experienced executive, public speaker, and entrepreneur whose career has spanned multiple business sectors at the highest levels.    Throughout his forty-year career he has spent an astonishing sixteen years on the executive boards of FTSE100 companies.    Executive leadership roles have included Chief Information Officer at Allied Domecq, Head of Business Transformation at Burberry, Chief Commercial Officer at Smiths Group, and President of Smiths Detection to name just a few.   Brian designed the Atlantic Cedar blueprint and the Helping Leaders Get Better leadership framework and is the intellectual driving force behind our focus on helping our clients drive growth, reduce costs, and build capability, all with an emphasis on speed and quality. All of this is the result of decades of experience.   His passion for great leadership is evident in the way in which he helps other professionals to fulfil their aspirations for themselves and for their organisations. This two day course provided a holistic view of Supply Chain Management covering topics including Strategy, ESG, Network Design, Technology, Analytics & Data, New Product Development, Sales & Operational Planning, Working Capital Management, Procurement, Talent Management, and Risk & Resilience. Our team continue to develop and showcase their skills and expertise through these highly engaging events and courses.
