About us
Atlantica is a sustainable infrastructure company that owns, manages, develops, builds and invests in renewable energy, storage, efficient natural gas and heat, transmission lines and water assets. We are focused on long-life facilities as well as long-term agreements that we expect to produce stable, long-term cash flows. Our portfolio consists of 46 assets with 2,203 MW of aggregate renewable energy installed generation capacity (of which approximately 72% is solar), 300 MW of efficient natural gas-fired power generation capacity, 55 MWt of district heating capacity, 1,229 miles of transmission lines and 17.5 Mft3 per day of water desalination. Our assets generally have contracted revenue (Regulated revenues in Spain, Chile TL 3 and Italy). Our assets have a weighted average remaining contract life of approximately 13 years as of March 31, 2024. Most of the assets we own, or which we hold an interest in, have project-finance agreements in place. We own or have an interest in a portfolio of diversified assets, both in terms of business sector and geographic footprint. We currently have operating facilities in North America (United States, Canada and Mexico), South America (Peru, Chile, Uruguay and Colombia) and EMEA (United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Algeria and South Africa). We intend to expand our portfolio, maintaining North America and Europe as our core geographies. We intend to grow our business and our dividend to shareholders through the development and construction of projects including expansion and repowering opportunities, as well as greenfield development, third-party acquisitions, and the optimization of our existing portfolio. We currently have a pipeline of assets under development of approximately 2.2 GW of renewable energy and 6.0 GWh of storage.

Atlantica has entered into a strategic partnership with Renewco Power to develop up to 2.2 GW of greenfield standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Spain. The development of BESS solutions is pivotal in driving the energy transition in countries like Spain. By developing energy storage, we can ensure a reliable and stable power grid, enabling further integration of renewable energy into our electricity mix and paving the way for a sustainable future. At Atlantica, we are glad to continue consolidating our growth strategy in Spain. Congratulations to Carlos Colón Lasso de la Vega , Germán Pacheco Vázquez, Hugo Pimiento Gómez, Jerónimo Herrera Casquete de Prado and Carlos Puyol Rojas for leading this transaction on our side. 🌟 Great news! Atlantica has been included for the fourth consecutive year in the S&P Global Sustainable Yearbook for its sustainable business practices. S&P Global Sustainable1 conducts an annual evaluation to identify the world's most sustainable companies, focusing on public data related to environmental, social, and governance issues. To qualify for inclusion in the Sustainability Yearbook, a company must rank among the top 15 percent in its industry. In 2024 Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) was conducted across 62 industries, reviewing the performance of more than 7,000 companies. Out of these, only 780 companies made it to this year’s Yearbook. The scores from this assessment are also used to determine the composition of the Dow Jones Sustainability index (DJSI or Dow Jones Best-in-Class indices) one of the most prestigious sustainability indices globally, which includes the largest 2,500 companies with better performance. A New Chapter Begins for Atlantica It is with great enthusiasm that we announce an important milestone in Atlantica's journey. On December 12, 2024, we successfully closed the acquisition of 100% of Atlantica's shares by ECP (Energy Capital Partners) and a group of institutional co-investors. After signing the agreement on May 27, 2024 and obtaining a 97% shareholder approval in August, we were able to close the transaction earlier than expected. We are confident that this acquisition will act as a catalyst for our growth plans. The much-anticipated increase in demand for clean electricity and storage capacity represents a tremendous opportunity for Atlantica and we wanted to be in the best position possible to take advantage of this. With the support of ECP (Energy Capital Partners), we expect to accelerate the development and construction of new renewable energy and storage assets as we remain committed to supporting the transition towards a more sustainable world. As we move forward, we will continue working with the same values, energy and passion that have driven our progress over the past decade. We look forward to a future filled with continued success! #Atlantica #ECP #RenewableEnergy #NewChapter
