Great to attend the CWCT AGM today at The Mermaid in London! My key takeaway from today is that the industry is at a crossroads – while the future looks promising, there's a sense of uncertainty ahead. A few highlights that stood out: - The growing focus on EN 1364-4 and its implications. - The Building Safety Act, especially the impacts of Gateway 2 on project delivery. - Encouraging progress in data-driven sustainability initiatives. - A cultural shift in architecture is emerging, with a greater push towards standardising building design, which ties directly into the challenges brought by Gateway 2. It’s clear we’re in for a challenging but transformative period, and I’m excited to see how the industry evolves.
