The Opel Genève concept car, introduced in 1975, was originally conceived as a design study called the "GT-W" in 1972. The sleek, mid-engine two-seater was designed to use a two-rotor rotary ‘Wankel’ engine, which inspired its name. However, the oil crisis caused the rotary engine project to be abandoned in 1974. A highlight for us at Toyota's Kenshiki conference in Brussels this past week was the appearance of a ’90s rally-spec Celica GT-Four (ST185) in Toyota Gazoo Racing livery.
