𝗙𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁-𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 During an onsite routine condition monitoring visit for an AVT Reliability Ireland customer, our Reliability Engineer picked up a high warning alarm while taking vibration readings on shaft support bearings. As seen in the Machine Sentry® software screenshots below, the unusual increase came in the overall velocity trend with a high 1X in the velocity Spectra. Upon further inspection of the support frame, we found one of the top mount nuts had come loose (look carefully at the below video footage to see the movement). The site contact was notified right away and one of the onsite engineers was on hand to torque this back in place. So simple, yet easy to miss. This of course highlights the importance of visual inspections, and once again our Machine Sentry® technology has been so effective at early detection fault-finding. Another happy customer avoiding costly downtime 👍 Are you considering effective condition monitoring for your assets and machinery? Following the interview and induction day, it was clear to see how eager Charlie was to get started in the office. Since then Charlie has gone from strength to strength working across a variety of areas including Machine Sentry Online systems, operating the support desk and learning all there is to know about the Machine Sentry product suite. Apprenticeships are essential to us here at AVT Reliability and we pride ourselves on our ability to create a positive, engaging and inspiring learning and working environment for all of our staff members. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Charlie on his award. 🥇 𝗔 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗲 "𝘞𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘥 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘶𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳, 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘰𝘯 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘴 𝘈𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘚𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘳"

𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 Following the completion of pipework vibration survey for a major oil and gas company, the AVT Reliability® team was called upon to re-investigate after concerns of high transient vibration occurring during process slugging events, caused by liquids being drawn through with the gas. Engineers James Wilkinson, Sam Redmond and Archie Houston, from our Asset Integrity Division, performed various assessments including Strain and Vibration monitoring, Motion Amplification and Finite Element Analysis to identify potential areas of concern and establish whether the stresses on the pipework posed any further threats to the overall integrity of the line. As a result of our investigation, we found that the increased vibrations in the mainline pipework were indeed presenting a risk as well as other pipework connections and associated equipment. We therefore recommended various mitigation measures, including the use of viscous dampers to provide dynamic damping restraint during slugging events. Our Asset Integrity Division specialises in structural and pipework vibration investigations. Contact me Simon Hirst or any of the team at AVT Reliability for details on how we can help you with identifying pipework reliability concerns. 📞 +44 (0)161 486 3737 📧 enquiries@avtreliability.com 🌍 www.avtreliability.com #expert #experience #processpipework #vibrationanalysis #reliability #safety #motionamplification #finiteelementanalysis

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 - 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗿 Peter joins the AVT Reliability team as a CBM Engineer, bringing with him a strong background in multi-skilled engineering & team management. Peter started his engineering career as an Electrician at the Barrow shipbuilding yard before pursuing a career in the Armed Forces. 14 years later, Peter decided to move back into engineering, accepting a post with a large food manufacturer as a Multiskilled Engineer, then a Team Leader and finally as an Engineering Process Manager. Peter is hard-working, self-motivated and committed to learning his new role of CBM Engineer, working to improve reliability for AVT Reliability customers. In his spare time, Peter enjoys getting out into the countryside walking with his family and their dog. Home DIY is currently a big part of Peters life, but he hopes this will not be for too much longer, he aims instead to have more time for family holidays. Welcome to the team Peter! 👋
