The Cancer Fund for Children is an incredible charity making a profound difference for those in need, and Axial3D is proud to support their work. This past weekend, our CEO Roger Johnston helped organize a luncheon featuring inspiring talks by Ulster Rugby Legends and the inspiring Romeo. On Sunday, some of the Axial3D team swapped their usual attire for mud gear to take part in the Cancer Fund for Children Bog Run at Castlewellan Forest Park. A big thank you to everyone who organized, volunteered, and donated—every little bit counts!

Case Study of the Week Surgeons successfully minimized risk in a complex cardiac surgery using a #3Dprinted model for a patient with a congenital heart defect. Given the patient's history of multiple prior cardiac surgeries, a transcatheter approach was favored over traditional methods to address post-repair pulmonary atresia and a ventricular septal defect. With the help of the 3D printed heart model, the surgical team carefully planned and executed the procedure, ensuring optimal outcomes while reducing potential complications. Amazing work by Dr. Hamood Al Kindi and the team at the National Heart Center at The Royal Hospital, Ministry of Health Oman and Sultan Qaboos University, showcasing the transformative power of #3Dprinting for complex double outlet right ventricle cases. We’re proud to support you and your team. #CardiacSurgery #EACTS2024
Proud to have represented the National Heart Center at The Royal Hospital,Ministry of Health Oman and Sultan Qaboos University at the 38th Annual Meeting of the EACTS - European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery,Lisbon, Portugal. It was an honor to present our experience with the innovative use of 3D printing technology in the management of complex cases of double outlet right ventricle with remote interventricular communication (VSD). Sharing this work with fellow experts was an incredible opportunity to highlight the potential of advanced imaging technologies in improving surgical outcomes. It was also a pleasure to reconnect with old friends and meet with leading experts in the field. These connections and collaborations are invaluable as we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in congenital cardiac surgery. A special thank you to the incredible team at the National Heart Center for their support and hard work, and to Professor Robert Anderson for guiding the morphological aspects and the publication of these cases. I would also like to extend my gratitude to the team at Axial3D for their invaluable support in creating the video demonstrations of these complex cases. https://lnkd.in/dFmsbgSJ https://lnkd.in/drRAiyzu
