🧩Our Campus Mentorship Scheme started as a pilot of 17 pairs in 2022 in collaboration with The Babraham Institute. It's grown a lot since then but remains a valuable resource to support the personal growth of members of our Campus community. We echo Jenny's thanks to all those who have helped make it such a success. And we are also indebted to Jenny for her hard work in organising the scheme with the Entrepreneurship & Careers Network. Thank you! 🙌 https://lnkd.in/gKUKRsHh

The latest recipients of our highly-competitive Campus Innovation Awards are Five Alarm Bio Limited and Proteotype Diagnostics. They will work in collaboration to develop and test novel biomarkers for cellular senescence. This collaborative research effort will further validate Proteotype’s Protein Cross Sections as a diagnostic tool for senescence, and will help to provide confirmation that Five Alarm Bio's compounds modulate a key hub in the cell's ability to defend itself against damage, and will be valuable for treating the diseases of older people where cell senescence plays a causal role. The Campus Innovation awards are open to Babraham-based companies and provide up to £30k to establish collaborations and accelerate impact. Funded by UKRI-BBSRC the awards cover a broad range of activities such as proof-of-concept, access to equipment/ technology, and technology evaluation. Full story 👇 https://ow.ly/lEwY50Vb1sC

🥼Cutting-edge science and nature harmoniously co-exist on our Campus set within a beautiful, historic, 430-acre open parkland. 🌳As part of our sustainability efforts the fabulous Estates team has recently planted a total of 12,852 trees. 🌻They have also planted 2,500 woodland bulbs which include snowdrop, bluebell, snakes head fritillary, wood anemone and wild garlic. 🔬We like to think of ourselves as a truly sustainable choice for entrepreneurs who don’t want to compromise on the environment for the sake of progress. Ready to accelerate? Thanks to Matt from the Estates team for sharing this photo. 😍 #ResearchCampus #LifeSciences #Sustainability #TreePlanting
