A vast jig and steel structure that is part of the Dreadnought Alliance submarine programme has made its journey to our shipyard in Barrow-in-Furness, the home of UK submarine building 🇬🇧 The unit will now take its place on the Dreadnought build line as we continue construction of the next generation of deterrent submarine to support the Royal Navy. It’s British Science Week and as our STEM schools roadshow — in collaboration with the Royal Air Force (RAF) and Royal Navy — continues to inspire students across the UK, we’ve been reminiscing about our science lessons in school.
