Recently Philip Walter, Darren Burley and Katie McShera went to the Royal Institution in London for the Planetmark annual awards. Bailie Group were delighted to be nominated by Planetmark for the “Absolute Carbon Reduction” award. This award celebrates the organisation that has made the greatest percentage reduction in absolute carbon emissions in 2022, as evidenced by the businesses’ certification report. Steve Makin CEO of Planetmark said: “It’s incredibly impressive to see that Bailie Group made a 20% carbon reduction in their latest Business Certification report and achieved a 28.8% reduction per employee. We look forward to continuing to work with Bailie Group as they take further crucial steps on their sustainability journey. It has never been more important to dramatically cut carbon emissions and Bailie Group is leading the way in demonstrating how ambitious an organisation can be.” Although we didn’t win, we came away with a renewed sense of positivity and ambition following an inspiring speech from guest speaker Si Bellamy of the Eden Project.
