A family-run developer with an award-winning portfolio of some of Europe's largest and most transformative developments.

About us

Ballymore is an independently-minded property developer with a multi award-winning portfolio of some of Europe’s largest urban development projects. A privately-owned company, Ballymore was established by founder, Chairman and CEO Sean Mulryan in Dublin in 1982. Taking a visionary approach to development and placemaking, Ballymore’s projects are renowned for best-in-class design and innovation, winning 40 top industry awards in the last three years alone. The business’ resolute commitment to quality is embedded in every detail of its projects. From conception through to delivery and then estate management, Ballymore maintains the quality its residents and tenants expect, and is one of the only developers in the UK that has its own estate management teams. Ballymore has significant land holdings across the UK, Ireland and Europe. As a result of its independent nature, the company has the flexibility to identify opportunities, pursue challenging projects and make bold decisions. This has resulted in a number of pioneering projects, including the world’s first ‘sky pool’ at Embassy Gardens, and a European-first for English National Ballet’s purpose-built new home at London City Island. Ballymore puts culture and the arts at the heart of many of its developments - to create places with soul where people live, work, and belong. Live developments include London City Island, Embassy Gardens, Wardian London, Dublin Landings, Goodluck Hope, Royal Wharf and Three Snowhill. Ambitious homebuilding targets have been set for London and the UK. In order to deliver 1.5m homes over the next five years, the private and public sector must work in close partnership to plan, design and build at pace and at scale.    At Royal Wharf in the Royal Docks, in just six years Ballymore has delivered a new town with some 4,500 homes, a new high street, healthcare facilities, parks, a primary school and nursery, community centre and workspace, as well as a new pier for Thames Clippers.    Our web article takes a closer look at Royal Wharf, now an established community, and what lessons can be learnt from this extraordinary development project: https://lnkd.in/eM8pnPgv

Had a great time last Friday speaking with students at St Cecelia’s Careers Fair about real estate development, master planning, and life at a placemaking-led developer. Was refreshing to see so many showing interest in our exhibition (though this may have been helped by the endless supply of tote bags we were giving away!) #realestate #ballymore Tilly Gerlikaite Henrietta Owusu
