As the last bank holiday of the year approaches, and we (hopefully 🤞) get to enjoy the last of the summer sun, we want to wish everyone an amazing bank holiday weekend! ☀️ Whether you’re going on a hike, taking a trip to the beach, rocking out at a festival, or just taking the time to chill out, we hope you enjoy your long weekend! First and foremost, a huge congratulations to everyone who received their GCSE results yesterday – what an achievement 🎉✨ We were lucky enough to visit a local school and talk about all things results day and future options, and we got to witness so many wholesome moments and happy students receiving their results 💙 Secondly, we think the parents, carers, and all those who have provided guidance and encouragement deserve some recognition! Times are turbulent, and areas across the UK are experiencing unrest and rioting, driven by racism and Islamophobia. It is our duty as an apprenticeship provider to act and offer support to our ethnic minority learners. Our learner's mental health is our main priority right now – and we know that a problem shared is a problem halved. Through our partnership with Spill, we’re inviting learners to attend a free, confidential counselling session with a qualified mental health professional. This service aims to provide a safe space for learners to process their emotions, discuss any concerns, and receive guidance to help them cope with the impact of the recent events. Learners will receive an email to book their counselling session directly with Spill, or they can reach out to their Coach or email us at yourfuture@balticapprenticeships.com 💙

Yesterday, 12 of our incredible team took on the Darlington 10K to raise money for the BCS Foundation 🏃♀️🎽 Our Baltic Striders have been training week in and week out to achieve their running goals leading up to the big race! When the time came, the rain cleared, and the sun began to break through the clouds just in time for the klaxon to sound and our team to run their race! Our Director of Support Services, Ian, led the way with a whopping time of 46 minutes and 13 seconds 👏👀 We even had two of our youngest Baltic supporters cheering us on at the finish line 🥳 Thank you to everyone who donated and supported us 💙 #Darlington10K #BalticApprenticeships #BCSFoundation BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT

After a weekend marked by sadness, destruction, and violence across the country, we want to shine a light on the best of humanity 💙 We are incredibly proud of our very own Joanna Wake, future Baltic apprentice Ramsey, and all the incredible Teesiders who participated in the Middlesbrough clean-up this morning 👏 The terrible events of yesterday do not represent our region. Tees Valley stands proud as a diverse community, evidenced by the large number of volunteers who showed up this morning, instilling positivity and unity back into our streets. Thank you all for your incredible efforts 💙
