There are four fundamental forces in the known universe; gravity, electromagnetism, and the strong and weak nuclear forces. Could consciousness be the fifth force that combines them? This is the question posed by a new installation at the Barcelona Pavilion, open from 25 October until 03 November. Through a series of experiments, artists, musicians, scientists, architects and engineers will explore what stands in the way of a global transition to sustainable energy, and seek a greater awareness of the power in design to regenerate. In(Visible) Energy is an omni-disciplinary experimental installation, fabricated at The Bartlett's B-made workshop at HERE EAST. It was created by Prof. Josep Mias, Luke Olsen, Graeme Williamson, Melis van den Berg, Hamish Vietch, Dr. Chris Leung, Martha Stevens, Izzy Watson and Orlando George-Ibyote, working under the umbrella of The Bartlett's and UCL Dept of Civil, Environmental & Geomatic Engineering's Engineering & Architecture Design MEng programme, and in collaboration with visual artist Leon Chew and sound artist Sandy Davis.
