We are absolutely delighted to be working in partnership with Unividual Ltd: Financial Planning to bring financial wellbeing to the forefront in this year's festival of wellness. 'Balancing' the books is a great way to start your ReBalance new year's resolutions and having Cherie-Anne Baxter-Blyth🌈's creativity and enthusiasm to make that happen is very exciting! As organisers of ReBalance Bath, we have an inclusive approach to different types of wellbeing, from dancing yourself fit at Komedia to learning about the latest developments in medicine with the University of Bath. The 2025 programme is shaping up to be as diverse a programme of events as ever. See you there!

Growing up, I never learned about budgeting, savings or financial planning in school. But I was lucky my Dad was (and still is!) a financial adviser. For years, most people around me just figured it out as they went along, picking up bits of knowledge here and there. But financial wellbeing isn’t something we should be ‘figuring out’ alone…it’s a foundation for living well, reducing stress and empowering ourselves to make informed choices. That’s why Unividual has spent the past year bringing free financial literacy workshops to companies, schools and charities across our community. It’s not just about numbers or savings accounts, it’s about helping people build confidence in their future. AND NOW, we’re excited to bring this mission to the ReBalance Festival in Bath, a three week wellbeing celebration running from 25th January to 18th February across the city, featuring over 200 events. The festival is all about enhancing wellbeing and financial health is a huge part of that. Thank you to Allison Herbert for joining me on my mission to raise awareness around the importance of what we stand for. We are so pleased to be able to support such a crucial event. No Bath is not all about spas, massages and yoga. We have so much support we can offer to the people and businesses in Bath and the amazing villages that surround it - no matter your background, family structure or the paths you have taken in life. Join us at the festival, where we’ll be hosting some workshops around managing finances through divorce and breakups, keeping New Year’s financial resolutions, planning for a fulfilling retirement and how to build a financially resilient workforce. Plus, throughout the festival, Unividual will offer free financial literacy workshops for local businesses in Bath and North East Somerset to support staff in achieving financial confidence. Just get in touch if you would like one for your organisation! I hope to see you there. Together, let’s make financial wellbeing a priority for everyone. Ps it’s been amazing working with the team at Bath BID to craft our partnership. There are still spaces for sponsorship if people want to get involved?

On Tuesday, the Welcome Ambassador volunteers were invited to visit Manja Manja restaurant. The team made use of a spacious room set apart from the restaurant to have a refresher meeting on safety and risk assessment led by Bath BID Operations Manager Roland. The training was followed by an introduction to the “playful” Italian menu from Manja Manja and The Circus Restaurant co-owner Mike and the modern wine list from manager Jess. The team enjoyed sampling the menu and finding out first-hand about what a new Bath business has to offer! If you would like a visit from our Welcome Ambassadors, please contact us at welcomevc@bathbid.co.uk

Today I will be out of the office joining our lantern workshop at the Forum (still a few spaces for walk-up participants). It’s my first Christmas event! Last year we had a banana, an eye, a fish and loads of beautiful stars created to join the Bath Lights the Night parade. Can’t wait to see this year’s creations!
