👷 Well done to the whole site team on our project at Maidstone Grammar School for Girls. We're so pleased with the fantastic engagement and support from the school as we progress on site. We are currently in the groundworks phase and installing the reinforced ground beams and concrete walls, which will then allow us to prepare and pour the ground floor slab. We will then erect the perimeter scaffolding ahead of the Streif UK MMC frame which is due at the end of March. Thank you to Assistant Site Manager George Hasemore and Murphy Geospatial for giving a site tour and presenting to Sixth Form science students on the embankment monitoring we are carrying out on this contract, and giving advice on careers. St Mary’s Catholic Primary School – The Official Opening! 🏫 The project team comprising of Baxall and DfE were proud to attend the official opening of St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Deal on Tuesday. The ceremony was held at St Johns the Evangelist Catholic Church and conducted by The Most Reverend John Wilson and Metropolitan Archbishop of Southwark and even featured the pupils of St Mary’s Catholic Primary School with their superb reading and songs. The congregation then walked from the church to the new school where the Archbishop blessed the new St Mary’s Catholic Primary School and Officially opened the doors - giving a special thanks to Maria Pullen the Head Teacher and the staff at the school for their support and patience while the new school was built, stating it was most definitely worth the wait as the pupils are so excited to have a nice new school. Baxall were also thanked by the Archbishop, Headteacher and the Kent Catholic Schools' Partnership for delivering an amazing school. Camber Sands Visitor Centre ⛱️ The new project is well underway to extend and improve the Camber Central WCs and Coastal Office. The site team are currently installing the timber frame extension, working on the existing buildings, and raising wall levels using glazed bricks. Despite battling with the high winds and constant sand blown on site, the team are making fantastic progress - well done and thank you all. We look forward to sharing this project's progress!
