Just wrapped up an incredible few days at Brand Licensing Europe (BLE) – the leading pan-European event for licensing and brand partnerships – and I am super proud to share that Bluey was riding high! 💙 The noise around this phenomenal brand was made even louder at this year’s show by several strategically timed announcements, curated news stories and interviews.📣 Ahead of BLE we announced that Ty Inc have signed a global deal with BBC Studios to create a line of Bluey Beanie Babies, which hit retail from December 2024. This is our BIGGEST deal with Ty Inc to date. ❤ On Day 1 of the show we released the news that we’ve secured a multi-year global renewal with Penguin Random House for bestselling license Bluey, which has had titles in the New York Times best seller list not once but TWICE this year! 📚 Bluey softlines was also in the spotlight too with articles running on new signings Paladone and Sourcebynet.✨ We round-out BLE with Build-A-Bear launching its first-ever Bluey collection, as part of a licensed partnership with BBC Studios. 🚨 Crimewatch turns 40! 🚨 Over its 40-year history Crimewatch, Crimewatch Roadshow and Crimewatch Live has: 📺 broadcast over 700 programmes 👮 featured more than 7000 police appeals involving every police force in the UK 🤝 brought criminals to justice with the help of the public Made by our talented BBC Studios Documentary Unit team based in Cardiff, the series gives victims and their families a place to tell their stories through sensitively produced films. And it actually yields results – reflecting the long-lasting respect the public have for the programme. A brand-new series of Crimewatch Live presented by Rav Wilding, who has been hosting the show for 20 years, and Michelle Ackerley starts on BBC One and iPlayer on Monday 30 September. 🤝Nischal Randev joins BBC Studios Factual Productions as Head of Growth and Business Development. The newly created role, which forms part of Studios Factual Senior Leadership Team, will develop, and implement strategic plans to broaden revenue streams for BBC Studios Factual through accessing new routes to market for content production, exploring new funding models and also drive audience engagement through multiple commercial avenues as well as expanding the portfolio through strategic partnership and growth of new production labels. In addition to this work, Nischal will be supporting editorial and commercial teams across BBC Studios’ factual production genre, this critical role will partner with other parts of BBC Studios to create and drive opportunities for Factual IP and Factual production units and labels, including partnership with StoryWorks and BBC Studios Brands & Licensing divisions. Speaking about his new role, Nischal said “I am so pleased to be joining BBC Studios Factual with its rich history in creating some of the most famous natural history and factual programming. Australia will be getting its own version of the hit sitcom GHOSTS. BBC Studios Productions Australia and Paramount Australia & New Zealand have announced GHOSTS AUSTRALIA will come to Paramount+ and Network 10 in 2025. The distinctive and highly spirited eight-part family comedy series will be set in a haunted house full of hilarious new ghosts who are as chaotic, unpredictable and messy as Australian history itself.   The 5th and final season of the UK series (pictured) produced by Monumental Television in association with Them There, was the most watched comedy when it aired in 2023. A US version for CBS is in its 4th season and a German version is also in production.    Taking popular formats around the world and producing local versions is one of the benefits of a global company that is able to bring a distinctive local flavour to everything we do. We are looking forward to seeing who the local cast will be….     Kylie Washington Will Hamilton #production #growth #creativity

Collaborating with Prime Video and All3Media International, we will be bringing our local production expertise to this fascinating concept. Traitors needs little introduction – it is the internationally acclaimed game of trust and deception, which already goes out in the UK and over 20 countries around the world. BBC Studios India Productions will adapt The Traitors for Prime Video in Hindi with subtitles in English.  Popular Indian film director, producer and television personality Karan Johar has been announced as the host. Winners of the #NTAs are chosen exclusively by audiences, making the National Television Awards extra special. 🏆   💃 Strictly won the Talent Show award for its ninth year in a row and Mrs Brown’s Boys also walked away with its sixth NTA Award for its cabinet. 🤩   The 1% Club, created by Magnum Media and distributed by #BBCStudios, won the Quiz Game Show award. 🥇    It was also great to see Sir David Attenborough recognised through the Expert award.  BBC Studios Natural History Unit’s Mike Gunton was there to accept the award on his behalf, reminding audiences that the man himself is set to return to screens soon. 📺   You can view the full list of 2024 winners here https://lnkd.in/g9Wkmgd 👈   Congratulations to all involved! 👏

Exciting Bluey announcements! 🎉 We’ve signed a global licensing deal with the world’s number one plush toy manufacturer Ty Inc. to produce a line of Beanie Babies for the Emmy® Award-winning animated TV sensation Bluey. 🤝 The landmark deal is BBC Studios’ biggest with Ty Inc. to date and will see sisters Bluey and Bingo, plus their dad Bandit and mum Chilli transformed into cuddly and collectable Beanie Baby plush toys.
