We’ve invested millions in our on-site recycling plant, which gives us a reliable stream of cullet, or waste glass, which goes straight into our furnaces to make new glass containers. Every year we process around 44,000 tonnes of waste glass on site which is recovered from kerbside collections, bottle banks and the hospitality trade. https://lnkd.in/eJB4jTWM #RecycleWeek

Please recycle your household glass, but bear in mind that not all glass items can go in your glass recycling bin. https://lnkd.in/eJB4jTWM #RecycleWeek

As it’s #RecycleWeek we wanted to remind you that glass is the most easily recyclable packaging material out there! Almost three-quarters of glass containers in the UK are recycled, which means they can go back into the furnace to make new bottles and jars. Do your bit and make sure you recycle all your glass containers! https://lnkd.in/eJB4jTWM

Recycling unwanted glass bottles and jars is an excellent way to reduce carbon emissions and energy use. Every 10% of recycled glass in a glass container means an estimated 5% reduction in C02 emissions and a 3% cut in energy use. https://lnkd.in/eJB4jTWM #RecycleWeek

Glass is the most amazing material, partly because it can be endlessly recycled without losing any of its strength, quality or integrity. It's the perfect packaging material for #RecycleWeek! https://lnkd.in/eJB4jTWM
