At Sound Energy plc we seek innovative technical solutions that reduce operational risk. The work overs on TE-6 & TE-7 involved the replacement of ~4.5 kms of production tubing in both wells. Working with Bedrock Drilling Limited we devised a method to avoid the standard practice of placing heavy well control fluids across the reservoir production perforations to kill the wells which may have resulted in a reduction of future gas deliverability. We achieved this by entering the live wells and first setting production packers installed with ceramic pressure burst discs downhole using a wireline unit. This isolated the reservoir section and constantly maintained gas across the production perforations whilst we changed out the production tubing above the production packers and install the new Christmas trees. When we are ready to connect the wells to the flow line circuit, which will feed the gas produced from the wells to the #microLNG production facility, we will burst the ceramic discs in each well with a pressure pump at surface allowing the controlled flow of gas into the system. Sound Energy, with our partners Italfluid Geoenergy Srl and Afriquia Gaz, working together to deliver Moroccan gas to power the Moroccan economy. #mLNG #transitionfuel #SOU

--Company Update-- Sound Energy plc Completion of Work Over Operations: Sound Energy, the transition energy company confirms the release and demobilisation of the Star Valley Rig 101 to Tendrara Production Concession, having fully completed work over operations on gas wells TE-6 & TE-7 in preparation for long term gas production into the micro-LNG plant currently under construction at site. The Company thanks the dedication and professionalism of their well management team at Bedrock Drilling Limited, subcontractors and suppliers, and the ONHYM - National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines for their ongoing partnership and support. Sound Energy plc has successfully replaced the tubing head spool and ran new corrosion resistant completion tubing into TE-7.
