It was amazing to be a part of the Active Travel Event "Make Tracks" which took place in Parr Fold Park, Worsley, Salford. A celebration of the walking and cycling links between Walkden, Worsley, Boothstown and RHS Garden Bridgewater. Bee Pedal Ready led a ride from the RHS Bridgewater and we were joined by Salford City Mayor Paul Dennett. What a fantastic day, with music, and a travelling dj booth created by @walktheplankarts and lots more. Kerrie Rimmer-Chambers is one of the most inspiring people I have met in a long time. Through the tragic loss of her son, Max, who loved bikes and adventure, she wanted to create a project in memory that would bring the community together, and @maxtrax_mcr was created. @beepedalready was working with @maxtrax_mcr in Delemere Park in Openshaw, as part of the Love Parks Week, which celebrates our city's green spaces and their vital role in boosting the health and wellbeing of people living in Manchester. Kerrie and the strong, beautiful, diverse community of Openshaw, need as much support as possible to make the @maxtrax_mcr which is in its development phase. The track will cater to all ages and abilities, with a balance track for younger children, an advanced pump track with small humps, and an expert track to encourage progression.
