What an incredible event Elizabeth Mendes da Costa. The venue at Frameless looks amazing! Congratulations on creating such an awesome event and for such a special charity. All your hard work and commitment paid off!
A few scenes from last night’s incredible #StateOfThePlanet Address. We brought leaders from across the UK together Frameless to showcase the beauty and fragility of our forests. In his inspiring keynote address, Former President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos had a clear and powerful message: ‘we must act, here and now, with no hesitation.’ After powerful speeches from Nobel Peace Laureate President Juan Santos and Indigenous activist Txai Suruí, we’d hope everyone in attendance can’t help but take action #ForOurWorld. Thanks go to Frameless and to our event sponsor and partner Reckitt, who are helping us make a difference in the Amazon. #StateOfThePlanet #Forests #Amazon #Frameless

If you're thinking about paid ads then Sarah Murdoch is your gal! She's an expert in paid socials and is also very lovely to work with. Here she explains when the right time to outsource this investment and optimise revenue growth.
Freelance Google & Meta (Facebook / Instagram) Ads Specialist | Helping Businesses Grow Sustainably With Strategic Online Advertising | Media Buyer | Paid Social
Should I outsource my ads or should I run them myself? This can be a hard decision for business owners. On the one hand, you're really busy managing everything else in your business AND you've tried boosting the odd post before with little success - the thought of running your own ads is completely overwhelming. However, although handing over to an expert would be great, it's another level of investment which you need to be sure you're ready to make. My advice would be if your business is still in startup mode, you've got your website up and running and you're making steady sales organically, and you want to get out to a wider audience, learning how to run your own ads with the help of an expert can work brilliantly. However, if you are more established, you know exactly who buys your products, why they're buying them, you're consistently hitting your targets and you have budget set aside for your ads (I'd recommend at least £1k per month) - then outsourcing or hiring an expert in house might be the way to go. Either way I can help - I offer a full management service or 1:1 ads coaching. Book in for a free consultation either by messaging me on here on my website. How can you write for me when you don’t know my business? I get asked this question a lot! The simple answer is that’s one of my superpowers. But seriously, I’m able to write successfully about a variety of topics, ideas and issues in business. How? Because I do 3 important things before I even think about writing a word. 1. We discuss your target audience. If you’re not sure who they are, we look at your best customers and identify why they are the best. This allows me to define WHO we’re speaking to. 2. You tell me about the most common questions you get asked. Also customer challenges, pain points and goals for the future. This helps me to pinpoint the content they would find valuable. 3. I do my research. Once we’ve had these conversations I go away and research what else is going on in your industry based on these issues. I look at companies that have overcome this or failed as a result. I source studies and data to back up what we’re saying and piece them together or sometimes I find great news article or posts we can use. This helps me craft great stories for your business to demonstrate authority, education and opinion. I hope that answers your question! #copywriter #contentmarketing #content

I’ve not posted lately but I thought it was about time, especially as my subject today is particularly relevant and can no longer be ignored. As a copywriter ChatGPT remains both intriguing and alarming...so what's it all about? Well, the great news is that everyone with a device and wifi can now have access to a world of content. Quite literally. Using ChatGPT you can now gain access to zillions of articles, copy, research, studies and papers from across the globe. So will this boost your content marketing into the stratosphere? Will your SEO go through the roof? Will you get more enquiries because you've created more content faster and easier using ChatGPT? Let’s see. When I Google ChatGPT this is the blub that comes up. ChatGPT is an AI-powered language model developed by OpenAI, capable of generating human-like text based on context and past conversations. Apart from the most alarming concept that AI is learning and evolving as we speak (all on its own, eek! But that’s a story for another day), in terms of content, the phrase, 'you’ll get human-like text' concerns me. Will it connect and resonate with your audience? We buy using our emotions; fear, anger, joy, excitement, ego. You name it there’s an emotion driving every purchase. You’re gonna have to be precise in what you put into the search section. Now, the last part of the blurb, ‘based on context and past conversations’. This is even more worrying, not just for a copywriter who may become obsolete, but especially for you (the client) and the issues around plagiarism, inaccuracy and the spread of misinformation. If ChatGPT is gathering insights, data and ideas from content that has previously been published, who is checking its accuracy? Is it going to be like Wikipedia, where the information is fact-checked and sourced randomly and inconsistently? Or worse, not checked at all? The good news is that as a copywriter I’m not concerned about becoming obsolete because someone (me and those like me) needs to continue creating original content so that ChatGPT can use it in the future. Without original thought and expression, ChatGPT and those platforms like it will be the ones to become redundant. On the flipside using ChatGPT for generating ideas and starting projects could be a great idea for all budding writers and business people looking to save a few quid because it’s good for source material and research. But, buyer beware! Please check your research, understand the legitimacy of your source material and cite all your work, crediting the original content used, otherwise, it could go horribly wrong. #chatGPT #copywriter #contentmarketing
