So what’s the craic when it comes to shaping team cultures, ready for change delivery? Often the statement goes… culture eats strategy for breakfast…. We would say that culture is hungry, because it also eats all types of change delivery too. The ability to co-product, gain support and deliver change sits on the back of the people delivering and recieving the organisational change. When this comes to change delivery teams, often it looks like this: - You want the most emotionally intelligent and collaborative… over the brightest in the room.🤗 (Technical skills can be learned, but attitude and drive to deliver is a behaviour you can rarely teach) - You need job roles that encourage flexing to support others when the moment is required 💃🏾 (There will always be a moment when the change requires people to act outside of their ‘lane’, you dont want to be debating this when seas are choppy) - You need enough time for those involved to get up to speed, before they start running🏃🏽♀️ (There is always a rush to complete, but if your team aren’t a team yet, they aren’t chasing the same vision… you will be busy fools) - You need a team that knows at their core, that their delivery is only of value if they are able to deliver to the needs of the organisation🫡 (The view that change is done to people is old school, change as a service to serve the organisation as a whole, changes all your interactions and approach when delivering.) #changemanagement #managingteams #techleaders #changeprogrammes #changeteams #businessdevelopment #digitaltransformation Kanika S.

So what is change programme set up? 🤨 Often when organisations start delivering change, they stumble because they dont know how to get the foundations right at the start. 👷🏽♂️When delivering organisational change, this is often about having clarity of vision, purpose and objectives. - The Programme set up activities are the tools, mechanisms and frameworks required to ensure that you know what actions you will take to deliver the above e.g. change management approach, embedded project objectives, low level clarity of specific and outcomes. 💻👷🏽♂️When delivering technically enabled change, you start with that same vision, purpose and objectives, but the programme set up looks a bit different. - So if you need both the organisational change and the technology to deliver to the agreed ambitions above, your programme set up now need to be in your agreed actions for doing tech and change together. It must embed the partnership across the two areas. e.g. Test strategy needs to be both UAT and Technical test and outline how they both work together, the Migration Approach needs to speak to the technical steps to migration, but also the organisation steps to clean and check the data. Pets of LinkedIn! Macduff joins us today for some further wisdom. This weekend, Macduff escaped the front door, went running down the street after a cat. 🏃🏽♀️ After crossing the road, he eventually followed the cat into a ladies house and scrambled around until he realised, he didn’t even know where he was. 🦮 Now, before anyone calls the RSPCA or Neighbourhood watch… this story has a good ending as he was being chased and recovered (no cat was caught in the making of this story).🐈🙏🏾 But it was a little reminder in not being too single minded in your workplace goals.
