We had the pleasure of working on Pipewell Hall, a stunning Grade II Listed Jacobean mansion set within 40 acres of gardens and pasture. Our team carried out a feasibility appraisal, advising on refurbishments, costs, and timelines while providing ROI insights to support informed decisions. We've since been appointed to manage specifications, obtain statutory consent, and oversee works to restore this historic property to an exceptional standard. Harborough District Council needs to ensure its Local Plan remains up to date so it can positively manage built development. Following on from the Issues and Options consultation which took place in 2024, the public consultation on the Proposed Submission Draft Harborough Local Plan 2020-2041 and supporting documents is now open until Tuesday 6 May 2025. At this stage the Council are seeking for comments to focus on the legal compliance and soundness of the Draft Plan which are requirements for the Plan to be eventually adopted. The current consultation comes as Harborough can only evidence a 3.55 year supply of housing meaning that applications for speculative development (that isn’t in accordance with adopted planning policy) holds a greater chance of being approved. If you wish to discuss potential sites or for any planning and development enquiry, please contact Lauren May or Sean Bennett on 01536 412464. #Berrys #Property #Planning #PlanningConsultants #LocalPlan #Housing #Development #HarboroughDistrictCouncil

URGENT UPDATE The Government has officially stopped accepting new applications for the Sustainable Farming Incentive 2024 as of today, 11th March 2025. This decision follows record participation, with over 50,000 farm businesses enrolled in farming schemes and more than half of all farmed land now under sustainable management. All existing SFI agreements will continue to be paid in full, and outstanding eligible applications will be considered. The Government emphasised its commitment to supporting farmers, securing £5 billion for sustainable food production over two years - the largest budget in the country’s history. Moving forward, further details will be provided about a reformed SFI in summer 2025. The updated scheme which will be open for applications in 2026 will focus on food production, sustainability and nature recovery while ensuring stricter budget controls. The Government’s broader farming strategy includes extending the Seasonal Worker Visa Scheme for five years, investing £110 million in farming grants, and establishing a £200 million National Biosecurity Centre. Additionally, reforms will support British produce, fairer supply chains, and planning changes to boost food production. With these measures, the Government aims to strengthen food security, drive rural economic growth, and enhance farm profitability for the future. Charlotte Shepherd, Anna Roche MRICS, Matt Anwyl and Chris Jones, along with clients attended the Shropshire Chamber of Agriculture AGM on Friday. Now in its 159th year, the chamber continues to play a pivotal role in supporting and championing the agricultural industry—something we are incredibly proud to be a part of. Tom Bradshaw, NFU (National Farmers' Union) President provided a valuable insight into the extensive lobbying efforts of the NFU. His discussion covered key industry challenges, including: · Proposed IHT changes and their impact on farming businesses · The ongoing battle against TB · Frustrations with planning restrictions limiting business growth · The difficulties in accessing grant funding, particularly the Slurry Investment Scheme Thank you to the chamber and all involved in making the event such a success. It is always inspiring to see so many industry professionals come together to share knowledge, support one another and drive positive change. #Berrys #PropertyConsultants #BusinessConsultants #Shropshire
