After decades of hard work, 2024 is the first harvest in which all of Alois Lageder’s family run estates, as well as their 60 vintner partners in the Alto-Adige, employed organic or biodynamic farming techniques. The estate transitioned their own vineyards to biodynamic practices back in 2004, and it is a remarkable achievement to now have all their vintner partners join their mission to protect their natural environment. Congratulations on this milestone! Read more about this achievement at the link below: https://bit.ly/3YjpcVw

How would you define Bordeaux in one word? A region so iconic, it seems impossible, but some of the responses may surprise you. If we took one thing away from the Bordeaux Collection Cellar Tasting last week, it's that Bordeaux continues to reinvent itself and adapt to an ever-evolving industry. From sustainable practices in the vineyards and cellars, to the creation of younger-drinking wines, Bordeaux is back better than ever before. Once upon a time, a chef met a winemaker, and the rest is history – the best love stories often do begin with wine after all. Lucy and Charlie now manage the family-run winery, Domaine Paul Nicolle, in the village of Fleys, Chablis. The event gathered 50 of the country’s top sommeliers, who battled it out in blind tastings, service tasks, as well as food and wine matching. Congratulations to all finalist, in particular to Phillip Reinstaller - Head Sommelier at Mauro Colagreco at Raffles London – who took home the top prize of UK Sommelier of the year 2024.
