Just recently a leading company in the oil and gas industry asked Bindatex to develop precision slit tapes in a new Thermoplastic UD material. These tapes were required to produce a new spec for high performance composite pipelines. However, the first project came to fruition earlier than expected in late 2023. Our customer’s product is extremely difficult to slit and is prone to damage if not handled correctly. Thanks to the customer’s clear spec, our detailed development process and flexible capacity, Bindatex was able to react quickly. As well as achieving the customer’s exacting specifications we were able to slit these tapes at speed and volume. Our customer was able the deliver the project on time and to spec – another successful partnership!
