We’ve just wrapped up week 3 of Learning Month! 8 members of the team presented and shared their expertise on an array of topics. Malikah Moosa, Ayavela Zama Lunathi Nqayi, Michaela Oncker, Tylo Paderes and Khethelo Ndlovu kicked us off with a session on managing diverse and inclusive teams. Réka Balogh and Melinda Veress followed with a session on successfully onboarding new joiners. And finally, Brendan Witherspoon delivered a crash course on working more efficiently in Excel. Week 3 of Learning Month is complete 🧠 Kevin Pratt hosted a session on ‘Presenting with Impact’. He shared tactics, strategies and approaches for delivering punchy presentations. A infamous study from the 1970s revealed that people fear public speaking more than they fear death. So Kevin's 10 trips and tricks for preparing and presenting were very, very useful. This was followed by a masterclass with our operations team. Avanthi Moodliar and Walter Olando shared their expertise on time management and prioritization to help the team get the most out of their work day. Thank you to all the presenters!

Today is World Mental Health Day. During our weekly company get-together, we were joined by Monika MacNaughton to discuss work-life balance and mental wellbeing when working remotely. Burnout has become more and more common for workers in every sector since the pandemic. Especially as the lines between work and home have been blurred. So Monika delivered some actionable tips on how to build resilience and balance working and living. The wellbeing of our team is so important to us.
