Meet the Team Mondays! Every couple of weeks we will be sharing interviews with members of our B&CO team, starting with our resident Welshman Owen Walrond. Owen joined B&CO in 2022 having previously worked on the Pears Maudsley Centre for Children and Young People’s Mental Health in South London. Having studied Construction Management at the University of Reading, Owen is now working towards his RICS accreditation, and is actively involved in student engagement for B&CO.

These past four years have been transformative—filled with growth, challenges and unforgettable experiences that have shaped both my professional and personal journey. A special thank you to Heidi Hinchliffe, whose invaluable guidance and encouragement helped secure my placement at Peter Marsh Consulting and significantly shaped the direction of my career. I’m also excited to share that I’ll be taking a few months to travel before starting the next chapter with B&CO in March, where I’ll officially begin my career in London. Thrilled to announce not one, not two but three fantastic internal promotions recognising the hard work and dedication of our team! Cameron Rae MRICS has shown remarkable resilience and talent since joining us. He’s exceeded expectations and consistently demonstrates his strong organisational and project management abilities. It’s a pleasure to announce Cam’s promotion to Associate. Lois Bell has consistently moved from strength to strength since joining us as a Project Coordinator. Her impressive growth is evident in successfully managing and closing out recent fit-out projects. We’re delighted to announce that Lois has now been promoted to Project Manager. Neil Fleming joined us over three years ago in a shift from MEPH to Project Management, which has proven to be a brilliant move as his skills and dedication are a perfect fit for a great PM. Neil’s ability to take on an increased workload across a variety of projects and consistently deliver high quality results has earned him a well-deserved promotion to Associate as well. Delighted to be showcasing these fantastic drone shots of our recently completed St Pancras Campus project, captured by BAM’s Aisling Murray. The office building is part of the mixed-use development for W.RE and features extensive greening to terraces, use of high quality facade materials and superb workmanship. We’re so happy to have our Emily back in the office from her maternity leave 👋🏻
It's my first week back from maternity leave next week and I am feeling all the emotions✨ Firstly, I'm feeling SO grateful. Grateful for a healthy, happy baby, who was born 7 weeks premature. Grateful to have had over 10 months off with the support of my husband and family. Grateful to have a job that I am excited to come back to, and grateful for a team that I know will be so supportive as I work to figure out my new rhythm as a working mum. There's also a part of me that's sad. Sad at how fast time has gone. Sad to not spend every minute with my son as he develops new skills. Sad because there will never be a time again that my baby is this little and he will be looked after by carers at his nursery and not me. I'm letting myself feel all the feelings this week as I get myself back up to speed. To get back in with the office banter, conversations other than what am I going to feed my baby next, to enjoying a HOT cup of tea, reviewing all the live projects and meeting a few new additions to the team at B&CO ☺️
