It was fantastic to meet with Sarah Jensen and Fay Stevenson at Barts Health NHS Trust with Mark Walton and Lucy Dunbar as we near the completion of several major digital programmes. Reflecting on what we’ve accomplished together, there’s so much to be proud of:    ✅ A Trust-wide Cisco network transformation and service across 5 major Acute sites & Community—4200+ APs | 1000+ switches | Cloud & DCs.  ✅ Full delivery of advanced security features, including Network Access Control, micro-segmentation, and endpoint posture assessment.  ✅ A Cisco cloud collaboration platform and service migration for 20,000 users, handling over 3 million calls per month.  ✅ The successful service transition of 20,000 EUT users and commencement of a new modern cloud desktop.  ✅ Oh, and the delivery of a 4000-bed Nightingale digital hospital in just 9 days!   That’s an impressive list of achievements - but more importantly, Barts Health has been driving this ambitious digital strategy, ensuring the modern infrastructure necessary for healthcare excellence. Their HIMSS INFRAM Stage 6 certification underscores the impact of these efforts. Facing these challenges together as partners has made this journey incredibly rewarding.   We’ve achieved significant milestones in upgrading the Trust’s digital infrastructure, setting the stage for enhanced patient and staff experiences. These improvements are critical to Barts Health’s vision for a connected, future-ready digital healthcare system that improves care for their patients.   Of course and happily, during my visit, I had the honour of presenting a second Block Solutions red K - a meaningful symbol of our unwavering commitment to delivering on Barts Health’s digital goals. It was a great moment to celebrate our shared achievements and look forward to the exciting next steps in this transformative journey. I had a great time meeting with Amy Freeman at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust to talk about their digital transformation efforts and reflect on the progress we’ve made together. Since the Trust decided to bring network and telephony services in-house and move away from their PFI contract, we’ve been working side by side to start modernising their digital infrastructure. Today it was wonderful to present Amy with our Block Solutions K – a gesture symbolising our shared commitment to supporting the Trust’s digital ambitions. It was a moment to appreciate what we’ve accomplished so far and get excited about what’s next on this journey. With our 5-year Cisco agreements in place, the Trust has the resources to keep driving forward with confidence. We’re also bringing our Axiom platform into the mix to help with network visibility, performance improvements, and the power of automation and AI. Looking ahead, we’re focusing on enhancing experiences for both patients and staff, simplifying Wi-Fi access, and introducing next-gen location services. It was a pleasure meeting with Martin Callingham and Peter King at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust Southend Hospital to discuss all things digital strategy. As part of the Trust-wide Network Transformation Programme, I was thrilled to present one of our Block Solutions red K’s – a symbol of our partnership and commitment to achieving the Trust’s strategic outcomes.   Although at the start of the roll-out, already together we’ve successfully deployed a next-generation WLAN with over 1,000 APs across Broomfield Hospital, seamlessly supporting the EPMA rollout with zero issues. Huge congratulations to the digital team on this incredible achievement, and to those within our own team who helped make this positive change possible.   The K, the final letter of Block, has become a meaningful part of our brand, representing our dedication to delivering on our promises in every partnership.
