Huge congrats to Alexandre Dewez for joining Harry Stebbings' formidable 20VC. As this chart shows, 20VC is among the most successful "next generation" VC firms in EMEA and already has had many unicorn investments (even more than the chart shows if you include the US). Not only is the media business highly lucrative and influential, but the VC model also works! Other Next Generation funds that are doing well include Visionaries Club, Blossom Capital, Air Street Capital, 468 Capital and others. VC is a hard and long game. It can take decades to build a track-record. But these firms are literally ahead of the curve. Over the last few years, a record number of new VCs have launched in EMEA. The number of investment opportunities is also higher than before, but competition among the top deals is high.
