About us
BlueBolt is an award-winning, independent visual effects studio based in London. Our talented team has been crafting exceptional images for film and episodic productions since 2009. We partner with our clients from the earliest stages of production, guiding the on-set supervision of projects through post to final delivery and pride ourselves on our straightforward, meticulous approach. BlueBolt is led by co-owners Tracy McCreary, Nic Birmingham and Henry Badgett. They are committed to prioritising the studio’s thriving, supportive culture and ensuring that it fosters talent and innovation, building on the legacy of Lucy Ainsworth-Taylor and Angela Barson who co-founded the studio with Chas Jarrett fifteen years ago. We were thrilled to work with The Forge Entertainment as the main #VFX studio on Disney+ Original murder-mystery series #Shardlake. Drenched in suspense and deception the four-part drama series is based on the best-selling novels by the late CJ Sansom, set during the Tudor-era dissolution of the monasteries and centres on lawyer Matthew Shardlake (Arthur Hughes), who must investigate a murder at the instruction of Sean Bean’s formidable Thomas Cromwell. What a week, wow! It was an absolute honor to have our names amongst all the incredible talented people in the nominations! True Detective was such an amazing project to be a part of. A massive thank you to HBO and to Barney Curnow and Jan Guilfoyle for leading the work so wonderfully. Thanks to our exec producer Panos Theodoropoulos for making the whole process seamless, successful and so enjoyable. My biggest thank you and congratulations goes to all the artists that put their hard work and creativity into the show every day. My job becomes a whole lot easier when you have an amazing team full of talented artists and it was a joy to see everybody's great work be recognised. Well done to all... on to the next project! ♥️
