🚨 Google's new AI tool raises serious concerns! 🚨 Google's Pixel 9 'Reimagine' tool can conjure disturbing images simply from text prompts. 🌩️ The tool mimics lighting, shadows, and perspective so well that it makes these altered images almost indistinguishable from reality. While creating whimsical edits like adding rainbows might seem harmless, the ease with which users can generate grim imagery, such as accidents or corpses, is alarming. Google's safeguarding measures, though present, are not foolproof, allowing these images to slip through. The tech is built into phones anyone can purchase — no specialist software needed. Despite Google's policies, people with bad intentions can easily bypass these guardrails. More disturbing is that these AI-edited images carry no obvious tags, making it difficult to detect manipulation. The challenge now isn't just creating convincing fakes but identifying them in a sea of online content. As tech advances, so must our skepticism!
