I absolutely love early weekend mornings in London. Although this morning I was pretty much sleeping on my bike 😪 It was another early morning to hide the 2 final passcodes of the Ganddee treasure hunt. Each code you find can be redeemed against a The Charity Shop Gift Card of £20!! Yesterday's codes were found in 2 and 4 hours respectively! 🤯 Turns out Ganddizens are serious treasure hunters!! Today, I'm a bit playful. So, I tried to spice things up a little bit with the location of the codes ;) Let's see how long it takes for the passcodes to be found!!

Shop owners are heroes. They don’t wear capes. And the work they put in their business often goes unnoticed. But trust me, running a business isn’t all rainbows and butterflies. So, when I have a meeting close to a shop listed on Ganddee, I love to take a small detour to go say “hi” and chat with the staff. On my way to North London I stopped by Give Me Love charity shop in Camden to say “Hi” to Jennie. Then, we quickly snapped this video to announce that they’re joining our network of partners. The best part? You get to hear it from Jennie herself! 🤩 So, from tomorrow, Ganddee users will get 15% off all items in the back room of Give Me Love by using the exclusive discount in the app. How cool is that?! Thanks Jennie and team for trusting us! And, of course, feel free to also stop by their neighbour (Shop from Crisis) who’s also one of our partner!

Did we just invent the most sustainable merch?? (No "carbon offset" shenanigans - I promise.) If you're like me, you have: - 10s of tote bags in a drawer at home - A cupboard full of reusable cups - Plenty of "startup t-shirts" (i.e. my pyjamas) When I go to a conference or a startup event - the chances are high that I'm walking back with some company's 'merch'. It doesn't feel like much in isolation. But, it accumulates. Fast. Even if the t-shirts are 100% organic cotton, and the cups are reusable - there's literally no point to collect them. One of each does the job. So, when it came to launch our own merch for Ganddee we didn't want to follow the route of **NEW** items (even if organic, "eco-friendly" etc). Instead, we decided that all our merch would be 2nd-hand. And this makes sense! Ganddee connects shoppers to 2nd-hand shops & pop-ups - so it makes a ton of sense for our merch to be sourced from our listed shops! Plus, the most sustainable items are the things that already exist! Ganddee's merch are clothes & totes that we're thrifting. We then apply a "Ganddee" label / patch on them. (we can also give these separately) This approach is our way to put our money where our mouth is. We're building the marketplace for the circular economy. So, if we're not trying our best to be circular ourselves - what are we doing?? Plus, every piece comes with a story!
