Carbon Free Solar wants to help UK businesses and homes to reduce their energy costs and help create a more sustainable future for us all through the delivery of renewable energy generation and battery storage. Background... Up until late in 2024 Shaun has spent to majority of his career in the corporate Energy industry, working for the likes of British Gas, Scottish Power and Bord Gais Energy. After 40 years working for someone else, he recently decided that it was time to set up in business for himself. One of his biggest challenges was to decide how he was going to generate new sales opportunities. His initial thoughts were to invest in the more traditional methods of generating leads, however following a conversation with an existing member of BNI and attending one of our meetings he decided to join us. First Thoughts... "Everyone made me feel very welcome, I spoke to quite a few members at the initial meeting, and everyone was very positive about BNI. The atmosphere in the room was very positive, the meeting was structured, but not regimented. I remember thinking how different it was to previous networking events that I had attended. There was a feeling of responsibility and accountability to look after your fellow members in a fun and interesting way." The Results... Shaun joined the BNI group in late October 2024 and by Christmas 2024 he had been passed the following referrals: Domestic Solar - X3 - £26,000 Commercial Solar - X7 - £175,000 He has also passed circa £15,000 of confirmed business to other members in the Evan James BNI chapter. WHAT A START FOR SHAUN! He has quickly become a really important member here at Evan James and we are really excited to see where the journey takes him.
