Our global survey of the supply chain profession for 2024 is open! There's a lot of talk right now about the use of AI in supply chain. But just how much of the talk is reality vs. hype? How much impact do you think AI will have on supply chain capabilities over the next few years and in what areas? What impact do you think AI will have on your job? Are you ready for the ride? The survey takes just 5 minutes to complete and you can submit your responses anonymously. All responses will be reported in aggregate. We'll share the results with you later this year in a free report plus a live webinar in early December. Here's the link to get started: https://lnkd.in/evG4b2Qa The more responses, the richer the results, so we invite you to share this post with your network of supply chain colleagues. Your input is incredibly valuable and provides an opportunity for us to share a true picture of what the profession thinks about this potentially revolutionary technology – so a big thank you in advance for taking part and for sharing! #supplychain #ai #leadership #impact #people #readiness #attract #retain #develop #include #survey

We talk about female leadership in supply chain a lot here at boom! Global Network. As a global community for women in supply chain, many of our members are moving into, or are thinking about, taking the leap into a more senior role. We know that learning from the experiences of others can help our members to consider how best to navigate the new experiences and challenges that a leadership role may bring. On Wednesday 6th November (9 am GMT), boom! host Beth Morgan will be doing just that as she speaks with three guests who are already on the leadership ladder to hear about their experiences and perspectives on progressing into increasingly senior leadership roles in supply chain. Our guests are: - Wei Chen, VP Supply Chain China, The Estée Lauder Companies - Ellen Hudreaux, VP Customer Delivery Experience, Schneider Electric - Kerren Ratcliffe, Associate Director Customer Logistics, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners 📢 Members: sign in now to RSVP to this event >>https://lnkd.in/eGymrwP7 >> A replay will be available shortly afterwards to members. If you are an employee of one of our corporate members*, you are also welcome to join this event. Last week, boom! Global Network hosted an event focusing on supplier diversity and inclusive procurement. We heard from Lushentha Naidoo (Managing Director, European Supplier Diversity Program) and Reshma Sheikh (Managing Director, MSDUK) about how they are working to create positive change in the global supply chain by empowering ethnic minority businesses. These two European non-profit organisations are committed to supplier diversity and inclusive procurement. They create a platform for corporate customers to work with and use their networks to find suppliers – they are the bridge that connects them. As they both emphasise, supplier diversity is a business imperative. We also heard from two special guests: Anna Hakobyan, PMP, CFCM (Global Sustainability, Supplier Diversity & Government Compliance Lead at AstraZeneca) and Axelle Ahanhanzo, (founder and change maker at LAUDACE ), who talked about their experiences working with MSDUK and ESDP. If you weren’t able to join us live, you can watch the replay here: https://lnkd.in/eUu6arsg A big thank you to Lushentha, Reshma, Anna and Axelle for joining us! 🙏 #supplychain #inclusivesupplychains #ethnicminoritybusiness #supplierdiversity #winwin #everyonewins

Have you read the latest edition of the Supply Chain 50/50 blog yet? This month, Melanie Salter explores the important topic of supplier diversity and inclusive procurement. As the title of the blog suggests, it’s another ‘no brainer’ business case. Here’s how Melanie explains it… ‘The reasons for creating a supplier diversity programme are very similar to those for embracing employee diversity in an organisation and embedding inclusion into its DNA. First and foremost, it's the right thing to do and it benefits wider society by generating economic opportunity for disadvantaged communities. Secondly, there's a strong business case – just in case the moral reason is not enough.’ Check out the blog to see the business case laid out and for further insights about how to drive supplier diversity and inclusive procurement effectively: https://lnkd.in/eiNJufNn We’ll discuss this topic with a panel of experts later today. You can join us by reserving your free place via the link below and if you can’t join us live, by reserving your place, you’ll have access to the event replay: https://lnkd.in/eE4Jc-Ya #supplierdiversity #procurement #supplychain #nobrainer #everyonewins

A big thank you to those who have participated; the data already makes for some very interesting reading! 🤔 If you haven’t completed the survey yet, we’d love to hear what you think... Are you concerned about how AI might influence your work? Or are you excited about how AI might impact supply chain capabilities in the future? The survey takes five minutes to complete, and your input helps to provide a clearer view of how supply chain professionals feel about AI and its impact: good, bad or in-between. We’ll share the survey results in early December; watch this space! 👀 Here’s the link to get started - https://lnkd.in/evG4b2Qa #supplychain #ai #leadership #impact #people #readiness #attract #retain #develop #include #survey
