Last night, we marked the launch of our new Phonak Infinio range of hearing technology at an event in London attended by influencers, hearing care advocates, colleagues and Boots Hearingcare customers. TV personality, Holly Hagan-Blyth, was interviewed by one of our audiologists, Maddie Maliszewska, as she shared her story of living with hearing loss and called on people to embrace life with hearing aids. Holly spoke openly about her hearing loss and puts it down to time spent in loud environments such as nightclubs in her youth and like so many others, not wearing hearing protection. It was a great event which celebrated people who are taking control of their hearing loss, while showcasing the groundbreaking advancements in hearing care technology. The latest tech from Phonak uses AI which processes sound in a way that enables wearers to navigate even the loudest environments and still hear conversation clearly. Amazing work from our teams in delivering our first World of Hearing in Scotland this week!
This week we welcomed Edinburgh, Princes Street to our growing World of Hearing portfolio, opening its doors for the first time on Monday! Very excited about the prospects for this one which is our first in Scotland and is set to be a fantastic branch for us. Working with our colleagues in Nottingham, we have relocated within the Boots store on Princes Street from two rooms on the second floor, to our own bespoke unit on the first floor next to Pharmacy, comprising four consultation rooms, Experience Room, Impress Walls, lab and waiting area. Our fabulous in-store team led by Paula Pinheiro have been raring to go for weeks now and this brand new space will enable them to deliver the joy of better hearing to customers old and new straight away. Best of luck Team, we know you'll smash it! Thanks to the team at Boots Properties for delivering an outstanding unit for us, especially Lisa Stephenson and the team at Kiddies - it looks and feels tremendous. Thanks also to David Peryer and Jamie Croll in my team for their hard work in preparing the branch for trading. A truly life changing moment for Norma! We are proud to have helped Influencer Granddaughter and Nan duo, Jess and Norma, who have recently shared their experience and hearing care journey across TikTok, Facebook and Instagram. This follows a visit to our Lincoln city centre store, where Norma received a full hearing assessment and same day fitting with our Senior Hearing Aid Audiologist, Thomas Baxter. Norma has worn hearing aids for a number of years before visiting us. Following her appointment, she shares her life changing experience with Boots Hearingcare and her reaction to her new hearing aids, whilst encouraging others who are also struggling with their hearing to book a free hearing check. Meet Neill Bannerman - Qualified Hearing Aid Dispenser “I'm Neill, and I joined Boots Hearingcare in July 2022. Having enjoyed my experience with helping people with their hearing journey as a Hearing Wellness Advisor, I was happily accepted onto the Qualified Hearing Aid Dispenser course in January 2023. With the support of my fantastic trainees (now friends!), colleagues in Chelmsford World of Hearing, and of course non-stop support and encouragement from our brilliant training team, I qualified in February 2024.
