I was looking forward to getting Bowmoor Capital on the podcast as their approach to trading trends is common and uncommon at the same time. It's common in the sense that they use well-established methods for entries and exits, but uncommon in the sense that they deliberately trade very few markets. Rather than spreading risk across a large set of markets, Richard Liddle and Gareth Abbot argue that trading 21 markets gives them all the exposure they need to double returns every 2-3 years. Their focus is on maximizing returns rather than Sharpe ratio - and I like that - but their approach to market selection is interesting and unusual nevertheless.
