💛 Our Vision - To find a cure for all types of brain tumours
About us
💛 Our Vision - To find a cure for all types of brain tumours 💛 Our Mission - To increase the UK investment in research into brain tumours One in three people in the UK knows someone affected by a brain tumour. This disease is indiscriminate; it can affect anyone at any age. What’s more, brain tumours continue to kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet, to date, just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002. Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. A powerful campaigning organisation, Brain Tumour Research is the leading voice of the brain tumour community. Unique and much needed, it is the only national charity focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. The charity is campaigning to increase the national investment in research into brain tumours to £35 million per year, while fundraising to create a network of seven sustainable Brain Tumour Research Centres of Excellence across the UK. Help fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.

Today we remember Jack D’Lima, who was lost to a brain tumour 20 years ago, on 24th March 2005, aged just ten. Diagnosed at just 15 months old, Jack fought bravely for nearly nine years. His parents, Albert and Beverley, turned their heartbreak into action by establishing Jack’s Goal as an umbrella group of the charity Ali’s Dream, a founding Member Charity of Brain Tumour Research. Jack’s legacy continues to bring hope to families affected by this devastating disease. Today, we stand with the D’Lima family in remembering Jack and honouring his incredible impact. From Parliament to the Senedd, our fight for better research into brain tumours and treatment access is making waves across the UK! 💪 🧢 Wear A Hat Day is coming up! Will your MP show their support? Ask them to share a hat photo using #WearAHatDay and tag us! 🏛️ In Westminster, the Rare Cancers Bill passed its Second Reading - a significant step towards better treatments for rare cancers. We’ll be supporting it every step of the way! 🏥 In Wales, we met with Senedd Members to demand better access to clinical trials, so Welsh patients aren’t left behind. 🎗️ In Scotland, MSPs are calling for funding equality plus access for Scottish brain tumour patients to potentially life-changing Proton Beam Therapy trials which can be accessed in England. 💫 We also launched our Impact Report at a star-studded gala, showcasing 15 years of research breakthroughs, fundraising milestones, and hope. Incredible Achievement! 🎉 Jeremy Banks is currently the top individual fundraiser for the London Landmarks Half Marathon a fantastic achievement, and all in support of Brain Tumour Research. 💛 With £13,396 raised so far, Jeremy’s dedication is making a real difference. His fundraising efforts are in memory of Neil Danziger, a much-loved supporter of Brain Tumour Research, whose son attends Caldicott School in Slough, Berkshire, where Jeremy is Head. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under 40 than any other cancer, yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research goes to this devastating disease. This needs to change. Let’s help Jeremy keep the top spot! Donate today and support life-saving research. ✨ https://bit.ly/41JyY4V #BrainTumourResearch #TogetherWeWillFindACure

Ross completes his epic 395 Challenge in memory of his best friend Steve! 🏃♂️ After a year of pushing his limits, Ross Paterson has officially fulfilled his promise to his best friend Steve Holbrook, who died from glioblastoma in 2016. 💬 “It was an emotional roller coaster! My Achilles is knackered, my calf is in bits, but the pride I feel pales the pain into insignificance. Having my family and some of Steve’s family at the finish line was incredible, lots of smiles, memories shared... and a few tears!” Ross’s journey has seen him tackle three marathons, nine 10Ks, and five half marathons, ending with the MK Half Marathon last Sunday. So far he's raised over £3,450 for Brain Tumour Research, and he’s determined to raise even more! Support Ross’s fundraising here: https://bit.ly/4bKJRrP #BrainTumourResearch #TogetherWeWillFindACure
