When you are going through a really tough time, your family & friends really want to help and they can find it hard to accept they can't 'fix' things. But sometimes, the biggest thing you need is to just be heard. Having someone to talk to, that you can just let out how you feel, your worries, anger and fears can help so much. This is exactly what we are here for, to listen to you. We are those ears, where you can say anything without worrying. When talking to someone outside of your family & friend circle you can be open and honest. You can let go of that worry of upsetting us or protecting our feelings, like you do with a loved one. This lovely feedback from one of our clients really sums it up. We have various services to support you. Please call 01454 422701 or click this link to find out more; https://lnkd.in/eEC6CYyH#braintumoursupport #braintumours #emotionalsupport #togetherwearestronger

With the clocks changing last weekend, it has felt very dark and wintery this week. With the dark nights and cold weather, it can feel a little harder to get out and about. We encourage you to keep talking and keep connecting with others. If you would like to chat with other people who have been affected by a high grade brain tumour, you can join our zoom session this Wednesday. For more information, call us on 01454 422701 or email support@braintumoursupport.co.uk To see all of our support groups, including our face-to-face groups, please follow the link; https://lnkd.in/e5FdkqJ2

Brain tumour awareness is something we are passionate about. Knowledge about brain tumours is not common - they are still something people see as very rare or that will not happen to them. It is only when you are unwillingly thrown into the world of brain tumours, that you start to learn more about them and realise how little funding there is out there for support and research. To support International Brain Tumour Awareness Week, we have a few facts to share. More information can be found on our website: https://lnkd.in/e7MfQMuj #IBTAweek #braintumourawarenessweek #braintumoursupport

Before Friday hits we want to say a big and heartfelt #ThankYouThursday to our very special supporter Aliesha Tyler-Waite ❤️ Last weekend she was due to take part in the Great South Run. Despite battling injury she had trained for weeks, running over 200 miles and many hours of physio to be ready for the day. She was running in tribute to Ricky, saying "The important thing is why I am doing this and that is for a family member who recently lost a very short battle with a severe brain tumour at just 39 years old." Then, at the last minute due to bad weather, the race was cancelled. But that didn't stop Aliesha because she decided to run the 10 miles anyway on the Saturday afternoon, and she achieved it in 1hour 27 minutes! She said "I couldn’t have survived it without all the support from everyone on here and the donations will be so thoroughly appreciated." And they certainly are. - She has more than doubled her original fundraising target, raising more than £900, which will enable us to be there in support of other families like hers facing life after such a devastating diagnosis. https://lnkd.in/eGvWdfsc Thank you so much Aliesha, and everyone who has supported and contributed to your fundraising. You are inspiring and you have made such a difference ❤️
