They dove deep into future strategies, got to know each other's work styles, and then took their learnings by attempting an escape room. But did they escape? (Spoiler: It was close! 😅) Huge shoutout to the team for a day of brainstorming, bonding, and problem-solving. How do YOU build your dream team? • On March 11th, 2025, the UK government announced its support for amendments to the Employment Rights Bill, which will potentially grant bereavement leave to workers who experience pregnancy loss before 24 weeks. This is a crucial step forward in acknowledging and supporting the emotional impact of early pregnancy loss. For too long, this experience has often been overlooked in workplace policies. This change reflects a growing understanding of the need for compassionate support during incredibly difficult times. As employers, it's vital that we stay informed and adapt our policies to reflect these evolving legal and societal expectations. To understand more about bereavement leave and how to support your employees, take a look at Breathe's blog post (🔗 link in comments). We're all humans - and when grief hits, it's more important than ever to remember that everyone's needs are different.💙 #BreatheHR #EmploymentLaw #HR #BereavementLeave #PregnancyLoss #EmployeeWellbeing #UKGovernment #EmploymentRights

  • Are you checking in on your employees wellbeing? 🤔 Workplace burnout can creep up on the best of us. And it doesn't discriminate. Getting in early, staying late and developing an unhealthy work/life balance can all lead to burnout. Ways to help prevent workplace burnout: ☀️ Encourage staff to take their holiday - Breathe's burnout monitor keeps track of holiday usage and spotting trends when employees are allowing their holiday to build up. Recent insights have shown the Breathe burnout monitor was checked a staggering 500+ times a week. 📵 Make sure staff unplug - set clear boundaries and make sure your employees know they shouldn’t be answering emails at midnight. 🧠 Create a mental health training programme - giving your teams the necessary training to spot signs of work burnout and to address them early on can stop any problems from becoming more serious. 💬 Communication - it's important that your staff know they can talk to HR or their line manager about any concerns. Fostering an open-door policy where talking about mental health is normalised is always best. For more tips, check out our workplace wellbeing blog (link in comments). How does your business tackle burnout? Share with us in the comments below. 👇 #BreatheHR #Wellbeing #HR #Burnout #EmployeeWellbeing #MentalHealth
