Not long to go now... We're in the running for not one but two Local Government Chronicle Awards 2025! Sarah Barsby MCIPR and Claire Burton (MCIPD) did a great job at the live judging this morning, talking about how offering continuous learning opportunities and actively promoting equality, diversity, and staff wellbeing have created a thriving, ambitious, forward-thinking organisation. And that's why we deserve to win the Best Place to Work category. But that's not all, the brilliant Olivia Rope could walk away with the Graduate of the Year trophy for embracing the opportunity of her first role in local government and playing active roles in significant projects. These include helping develop a new housing strategy to help people before they reach crisis point or homelessness, securing multi-million-pound investment into the district, and helping lobby for more support against the decline of high street banks. We are all incredibly proud to be in the running for these prestigious national awards, which recognise the positive impact our approach is ultimately benefiting the people and businesses of Breckland.
