Last week, Bregal Sphere Nature, in partnership with PUR and Conservation International, hosted over 130 guests, including investors, sustainability professionals, project developers, NGOs, MRV providers, and producer organizations for an afternoon at #ClimateWeekNYC. From focusing on opportunities to improve supply-chain resilience to addressing climate change through nature-based investments, each discussion highlighted the urgent need for cross-sector collaboration. Whether through public-private partnerships, landscape-level approaches between supply-chain actors, or community-led interventions supported by ambitious corporates – it is clear that more partnerships are needed to help solve the ongoing climate and nature crisis. We are pleased to announce that Bregal Investments has joined and will be working with the Sustainable Markets Initiative’s Natural Capital Investment Alliance via our impact investing platform, Bregal Sphere. The industry hub, which is now composed of 18 members, seeks to promote and demonstrate the opportunity associated with natural capital investment as a new and scalable asset class.   Founded by His Majesty King Charles III, in 2020, then The Prince of Wales, the Sustainable Markets Initiative has become the world’s ‘go-to’ private sector organisation on sustainable transition.
