Even the best-in-class SaaS businesses saw growth rates in 2023 halve compared to the highs of 2020. For companies with $1 – 30M ARR the median for 2023 was 27%, down from 37.9% two years earlier. The slowdown in growth rates was even more pronounced for early stage startups (36.1% vs. 67.8%). Crises separate great companies from the rest RPA is becoming more sophisticated by incorporating better AI and machine learning capabilities. In firms there has been a rather dramatic increase of 72% in the implementation of automation center of excellences (CoEs) over the last year, - a clear indication that, despite limited budgets in the current economic climate, RPA is having a moment. Intelligent automation firm #ABBYY has found that AI budgets increased over 80% within enterprises globally in 2023, according to their State of Intelligent Automation Report. Whether it’s document understanding, communications mining, process mining, or task mining, the sector continues to see strong growth. This week Ashim Gupta, Chief Financial Officer at #uipath , reported a 25% growth for the NYC-listed firm. Some firms meanwhile expand beyond centers of excellence to the core business of customers, such as Munich-based process mining technology vendor #celonis , allowing customers to understand how one process impacts another. “Why object-centric process mining is the only way to build businesses fit for the future” article in The Tech Capital: https://lnkd.in/eFNqs5pY Process mining has become a fundamental pillar of digital transformation for many companies. It acts as an X-ray that helps business leaders understand processes end-to-end, and offers organizations a proven way to make a measurable impact on the top line, bottom line and green line. Process mining technology is also continuously evolving to encompass new capabilities, such as providing a three-dimensional view of a company’s business processes. We call this Object-Centric Process Mining (OCPM). This offers a powerful single data representation of an entire business that enables companies to dramatically accelerate the speed with which they can model their process data, gain critical insights, and take action to start realizing value.
